This plant comes up every year and in the winter leaves a brown stem with clusters of seeds up the stem,and lasts well into the summer if left.
Can anyone confirm this to be Verbascum thapsus (Common Mullein)?

Just turned up about 10 years ago in my garden.Fascinating plant,the large pitcher has clear fluid in the bottom and the stench it gives out is of putrid flesh.Thrives in wetter than usual seasons.
